Agreement to Operate the Hattab Agricultural Project

In Northern Sudan, Governor Abidin Awadallah witnessed the signing of an operational agreement for the Hattab Agricultural Project in the Karmakol area of the Daba locality, to be managed by national investor Atef Jafar.
The signing ceremony was attended by the Minister of Production and Investment and the Governor’s advisor, retired Major General Kamal Musa. Governor Awadallah emphasized that this agreement reflects the state government’s recent efforts to expand agricultural land within the state, and it ensures the protection of citizens’ rights. He expressed optimism that the Hattab Project would serve as a model for future projects, given the extensive resources invested by national investor Atef Jafar, and would positively impact local community development.
Osman Ahmed, the State Minister of Production and Economic Resources, shared that the Hattab Project will irrigate over 14,000 acres in its first phase and is equipped with the latest electromechanical pumping technology available globally.
Bakri Abdul Raziq, representing national investor Atef Jafar, highlighted the steps taken over the past three years and the discussions held with the project management that culminated in the signing of the operational agreement. The project will ultimately span a total of 15,000 acres.
