Bundesliga: Marmoush Leads Frankfurt to Crucial Victory over Stuttgart
Eintracht Frankfurt won 3-2 against Stuttgart away from home on Sunday in the 10th round of the German Bundesliga.
According to the German News Agency, Frankfurt took the lead through Hugo Ekitike in the last minute of the first half.
In the second half, Frankfurt added a second goal in the 55th minute via Nathaniel Brown.
Omar Marmoush scored Frankfurt’s third goal in the 62nd minute, while Stuttgart managed two goals in the 86th minute and in stoppage time through Josha Vagnoman and Nick Woltemade.
Marmoush raised his goal tally to 11 in the Bundesliga this season, sharing the top scorer’s spot with Harry Kane of Bayern Munich.
Marmoush has reached 13 goals this season across all competitions, also providing nine assists for his teammates. He will miss Egypt’s matches against Cape Verde and Botswana in the fifth and sixth rounds of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers next week, as he has been granted rest by the Egyptian coaching staff after the national team secured qualification for the finals to be held in Morocco late next year.
Frankfurt now has 20 points, sitting in third place, while Stuttgart remains at 13 points in eleventh place.
