Sudan Elected to the Financial and Administrative Oversight Board of the Arab Academy

On Monday, Sudan participated in the opening of the 29th General Assembly session of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport, held in Alexandria, with a delegation led by Yasser Mohamed Madbo, Head of the Land Transport and Border Crossings Unit and Director of the River Navigation Authority. The delegation included Mohamed Osman, Director of the Ministerial Executive Office at the Ministry of Transport, and a representative from Sudan’s permanent mission to the Arab League.
Delegations from Arab member states attended the meeting, where they discussed the academy’s annual achievements, future plans, projects, and initiatives.
Participants praised the academy’s progress over recent years, particularly in training personnel from various Arab countries in sectors such as maritime transport, ports, logistics services, scientific research, and technical and scientific consulting related to maritime activities. They also reviewed ongoing projects and strategies aimed at enhancing the academy’s role in serving the Arab region.
During the meeting, Sudan was elected to the academy’s Financial and Administrative Oversight Board for the next two years.
