Plan to Distribute Aid in Khartoum
Sudan Events – Follow-ups
The Supreme Committee for Aid Distribution and Shelter in Khartoum State convened on Wednesday, chaired by Sadiq Faraini, Director General of the Ministry of Social Development, to discuss a plan for distributing food supplies received from the Voluntary and Humanitarian Work Commission and the state government over the past two weeks. The meeting included executive directors from localities and the Humanitarian Aid Commissioner.
The committee reviewed the volume of aid received from both national and international organizations and developed a distribution plan. The aid will initially be delivered in Karari locality, covering arrivals from other areas within the state, as well as some additional groups, including recent arrivals to North Bahri, families of martyrs, orphans, and foster families.
The committee emphasized its goal to ensure fairness and prioritize distribution based on available resources, particularly given the substantial gap between available aid and actual needs.
