Trump Appoints Karoline Leavitt as White House Press Secretary

U.S. President-elect Donald Trump announced on Friday that his campaign spokesperson, Karoline Leavitt, will assume the role of White House Press Secretary.

In a statement, Trump said that Leavitt (27 years old) is “smart, strong, and has proven herself to be highly effective in communicating. I have complete confidence that she will excel at the podium and help convey our message to the American people.”
