Acting Governor of Al-Jazeera Affirms Commitment to Expanding Cultivated Areas

The acting Governor of Al-Jazeera State, Al-Tahir Ibrahim Al-Khair, reaffirmed his government’s dedication to developing the agricultural sector and expanding cultivated areas in collaboration with relevant stakeholders to ensure increased production. He emphasized that agriculture is the cornerstone for achieving the desired development and progress in the state.
The governor held a meeting with the Director of the Agricultural Administration, Abdulqader Mohammed Khalid, and Yasser Abdeljaleel Naqd, the Agricultural Director of Al-Managil sectors.
Dr. Abdulqader commended the efforts of Al-Jazeera State’s government in overcoming challenges faced at the start of this year’s agricultural season during both the summer and winter cycles. He highlighted that these achievements lay a strong foundation for revitalizing the Al-Jazeera Project. He noted the provision of significant quantities of DAP fertilizers, other agricultural inputs, and fuel to ensure the success of the agricultural season, which serves as a pillar of food security.
Dr. Abdulqader stressed that the determination of productive citizens supporting the armed forces is stronger than any challenges, emphasizing that revitalizing land is essential for boosting production and productivity. He also praised the roles of the state government, irrigation administration, agricultural bank, and producers.
