Khartoum Security Cell Denies Targeting Goldsmiths and Gold Traders

The Director of the Security Cell in Khartoum, Major General Omar Hassan Saleh Shinko, has denied rumors about targeting the goldsmith sector. He confirmed this during his first meeting with members of the Goldsmiths and Gold Traders Chamber of Khartoum, led by Khaled Al-Khunjir Tabidi, alongside members of the Executive Office and legal advisors of the Chamber. The Director expressed their commitment to facilitating the operations of various sectors and ensuring security and stability in the country.
He welcomed the chamber’s formation and congratulated them on this step. The meeting addressed the issues raised by the goldsmiths’ delegation, and Major General Shinko clarified that the role of the Security Cell is to provide security for the goldsmiths and the areas they operate in, contributing to the concept of public safety in the current national situation.
An agreement was reached to coordinate efforts towards signing a memorandum of understanding between the two parties in the coming days, with the chamber taking responsibility for all goldsmiths and traders in the Karari locality and ensuring their adherence to the directives and regulations of the country’s security and official authorities.
