Designation of Seven Centers for Registering and Enumerating Foreigners in Port Sudan

The Committee for the Registration and Regulation of Foreign Presence in Red Sea State has announced the establishment of seven centers for registering and enumerating foreigners in the city of Port Sudan in the coming period. A registration form has been prepared to record the details of foreign individuals and regulate their presence in the country.
The committee convened a meeting on Monday, chaired by Brigadier General Awad Ezz Al-Din Bakhit, Director of Military Intelligence for the Red Sea Military Zone and Chairman of the Subcommittee for Regulating Foreign Presence in the state. The meeting was attended by the committee’s secretary, Police Brigadier General Bakhit Rahmatullah Bakhit, Director of Red Sea Passports; representatives from the National Intelligence Agency; members of the media committee; and relevant stakeholders.
Brigadier General Awad Ezz Al-Din stated that since its formation, the committee has held several meetings and identified locations for registering foreigners to initiate the enumeration process. Subcommittees have been formed for this purpose, and representatives from relevant entities have been selected to participate in the registration and enumeration activities. He called on various media outlets to actively engage in the process by disseminating awareness programs and messages prepared by the committee through all available print and broadcast channels.
The Brigadier further noted that the meeting established mechanisms to commence work and organized the initial steps for the registration and enumeration of foreigners, set to begin in the coming days.
For his part, Police Brigadier General Bakhit Rahmatullah Bakhit, Director of Passports for Red Sea State and Secretary of the Committee, mentioned that the committee has been holding continuous meetings since its formation. He stated that seven registration centers have been prepared, and subcommittees have been formed to monitor the registration process. He reassured foreigners residing in the state that the registration procedures are simple and free of charge.
The meeting concluded with a decision to immediately launch media campaigns through various platforms. The media committee was tasked with devising a communication plan ahead of the registration process.
