Ahmed Hussein, spokesperson for the joint armed forces, confirmed the inability of the RSF militia to capture the city of El-Fasher, noting the successful defense against 153 militia attacks since May.
Speaking to Mada Masr, Hussein detailed the intense clashes in the southeastern sector of the city and the continued artillery shelling of residential neighborhoods by the RSF. He reported substantial militia losses in personnel and equipment, with numerous bodies scattered on the city’s outskirts.
“Despite enduring seven months of bombardment, we have neutralized the majority of RSF artillery outside the city. Soon, we will strike their strongholds and drive them away from urban areas,” Hussein stated.
