Kabashi: Committed to Peace and Preserving Sudanese Dignity

Lt. Gen. Shams El-Din Kabashi, member of the Sovereignty Council and Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces, affirmed the government’s commitment to achieving peace, alleviating the state’s suffering, and engaging with all initiatives aimed at ensuring security, stability, and preserving Sudanese sovereignty and dignity.
During his meeting with the Swiss Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa, Ambassador Sylvain Astier, in Port Sudan on Wednesday, Kabashi reiterated Sudan’s dedication to delivering humanitarian aid to those in need and facilitating the work of relief teams and humanitarian organizations.
The discussions addressed the current situation in Sudan, ongoing developments, and government efforts to ease the flow of humanitarian aid, including opening various crossings and Sudanese airports for aid delivery.
The Swiss envoy highlighted the humanitarian crisis and the ongoing conflict, exploring ways to end the war and ensure humanitarian assistance reaches affected areas to ease the suffering of the Sudanese people.
