Kassala Airport Welcomes First Plane Since the Outbreak of War

Kassala International Airport received its first Boeing 737 flight carrying 40 passengers from Port Sudan Airport since the outbreak of the war.
The state of Kassala celebrated the arrival of a Tarco Airlines plane on Wednesday, marking the inauguration of a domestic flight route connecting the administrative capital of Port Sudan on the Red Sea with Kassala, covering a distance of 577 kilometers.
A large segment of Kassala’s residents expressed satisfaction with the establishment of flights between Port Sudan and Kassala via Tarco Airlines, which received widespread praise. They also called on national airlines to initiate international flights from Kassala Airport to alleviate their travel difficulties.
