Finance Minister Attends Economic Forum in Cairo

Finance Minister Dr. Jibril Ibrahim is leading Sudan’s delegation to the fifth Arab Sustainable Development Week, organized by the League of Arab States in partnership with Egypt’s Ministry of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation. The event, held under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, runs from November 24 to 27 in Cairo under the theme “Sustainable Solutions for a Better Future.”
The forum focuses on key areas such as technology and innovation, climate change, sustainable financing, food security, and achieving sustainable development in conflict-affected Arab countries.
As part of the week’s events, the Arab Regional High-Level Forum on Investment and Sustainability will convene to support improving the environment for sustainable investment and advancing sustainable development goals as a driver of economic growth in the Arab region.
The minister’s participation comes in response to an invitation from Egypt’s Minister of Planning and Economic Development. Dr. Mohamed Bashar, Undersecretary of Planning at the ministry, is also attending the events.
