Khartoum Governor Launches Initiative for Civilian Life Restoration

Khartoum Governor Ahmed Othman Hamza launched the “Civilian Life Restoration Program” for the state’s residents, organized by the Smod Sustainable Development Charity Organization in collaboration with several national organizations. The program aims to support kidney dialysis patients and unidentified individuals at Nuh Hospital, providing care through a state-designated shelter for these groups.
The launch was attended by Sidiq Farini, Director-General of the Ministry of Social Development, and Dr. Awad Hamid, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports. The governor commended national organizations for their community support during the war, especially for vulnerable families and patients. He praised Smod Organization for its exemplary role in aiding vulnerable populations and saluted the residents of Hara 8 in Karari for their resilience and generosity during the war.
Dr. Awad Hamid also acknowledged the governor’s leadership and praised Smod Organization for its humanitarian efforts. The organization’s president, Mohamed Al-Fateh, highlighted their initiatives, which include caring for unidentified individuals, managing their burials, and documenting their data. The organization also provides extensive care for dialysis patients and seeks partnerships to expand services both within and beyond Khartoum State.
