Sudan Events – Agencies
Lieutenant General Shams al-Din Kabashi, a member of the Sovereignty Council and Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces, reaffirmed the government’s commitment to cooperating with UN agencies and all humanitarian organizations to ensure aid reaches those in need.
During his meeting on Monday with Tom Fletcher, UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs, Kabashi discussed the ongoing efforts by the Sudanese government and UN agencies to deliver aid to those displaced by the war.
Tom Fletcher noted that the purpose of his visit was to draw international attention to the humanitarian consequences of the war in Sudan.
