On Monday, the Sudanese army announced the completion of its final phase of liberating Sinja, ensuring the reopening of the national highway connecting Sinja, the state capital, to Sennar.
Major Fath Al-Alim Al-Shobli, the officer in charge of operations in Sennar State, stated in a video broadcast by army platforms, “The armed forces have completed the final phase of liberating Sinja… and we officially announce the reopening of the national highway linking the state capital to the city of Sennar.”
He clarified that the road connecting Mayarno, located south of Sennar, to the state capital of Sinja is now accessible and secure.
