Companies Interested in Contracting for Silt and Weed Removal in Managil

Sudan Events – Reports
Six excavation machines and two loaders have arrived in Managil from the Faw area to participate in removing silt and weeds, as well as addressing breaches in canals and water channels across sections of Managil.
Several companies have expressed interest in contracting with the Irrigation Administration to provide additional equipment for silt and weed removal after the liberation of Jebel Moya and the opening of roads to Managil.
A joint meeting between the Irrigation Administration and the Gezira Project Administration in Managil was held, where it was decided to allocate 35 dredgers, previously contracted, at a rate of four dredgers per section, prioritizing the most congested areas. Adequate fuel supplies for all machinery were also secured.
Additionally, measures were agreed upon to address breaches in the “Major Al-Shuwal” bridges, as the section prepares large areas for wheat cultivation.
