Khartoum Governor: Preparations to Reopen Closed Factories
Sudan Events – Reports
Ahmed Othman Hamza, Governor of Khartoum, announced that his government has begun preparations to restart factories that were shut down due to the war. Key steps include securing facilities and restoring essential services such as electricity and water. He emphasized that it is the state’s duty to support factory owners and provide all necessary facilities to revive the industrial sector in the state.
The governor praised the continuous support from Sudanese businesspeople and philanthropists both inside and outside the country, who have consistently backed the “Battle of Dignity” and supported citizens despite significant losses suffered by the economic and industrial sectors in the state due to looting and sabotage by rebel militias.
On Wednesday, the governor received a convoy of support from the workers and owner of Musa Plastic Products Factory, businessman Musa Mohamed Abdelqader, as part of assistance for Khartoum State.
Mohamed Hesham, a spokesperson for the Musa Plastic Products Factory workers, expressed solidarity with the armed forces in achieving victory and cleansing the country of rebellion. He noted that this convoy is the first of many to come in the near future.
