Sudan Events – Agencies
Moscow has returned the bodies of 502 Ukrainian soldiers who died in battles against Russian forces, according to the German news agency DPA.
Ukraine’s Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War stated that 64 soldiers died in the Zaporizhzhia region, while 24 others were killed in the eastern Luhansk region. Additionally, 17 Ukrainian soldiers died inside Russia in August when advancing Ukrainian units reached the Kursk region on the Russian border, which Ukraine still partially controls.
Meanwhile, Russian media reported that Moscow received the remains of 48 of its soldiers in exchange. The handover was facilitated by the International Committee of the Red Cross.
