Gezira Project: 50% Reduction in Administrative Service Fees for Crops
Sudan Events – Reports
The Governor of the Gezira Project, Ibrahim Mustafa, announced a 50% reduction in administrative service fees for crops planted during the current season.
According to the governor, the decision to reduce fees comes as support for farmers facing difficult living conditions, rising costs of production inputs due to the war, and flooding of large crop areas caused by heavy rainfall this season.
The governor also urged wheat farmers to collect their wheat seeds from the Gezira project warehouses in Al-Managil under deferred payment terms, in accordance with the financial management rules of the project.
It is worth noting that the Gezira Project’s budget heavily relies on administrative service fees from crops cultivated during both the summer and winter seasons.
