Harmful Chemicals Seized in South Kordofan

Security authorities in Al-Liri, South Kordofan State, intercepted environmentally harmful chemicals originating from a neighboring country en route to Talodi for use in traditional mining activities.
The seized materials included 14 bags of thiourea, 5 bags of carbon, 1 bag of borax, and 3 bags of caustic soda.
The Sudanese Mineral Resources Company filed a legal complaint against the suspects, emphasizing its commitment to environmental safety and the health of citizens in production areas.
The Director of the company’s office in South Kordofan, Nasir Warsha, commended the vigilance of security forces, including Major Saleh Abdul Jalil, head of Al-Liri Security, and Captain Omar Al-Tijani, head of Mineral Security in the state.
The acting executive director of Al-Liri County, Sadiq Babiker Rahal, praised the efforts of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company and security forces in safeguarding the well-being of citizens.
