Las Palmas spoiled Barcelona’s celebration of its 125th anniversary by defeating the Catalan team 2-1 on Saturday, extending Barcelona’s winless streak to three matches in La Liga.
Despite the loss, Barcelona remains at the top of the standings with 34 points, four points ahead of rivals Real Madrid, who have two games in hand. Meanwhile, Las Palmas climbed to 14th place with 15 points.
Las Palmas took the lead early in the second half with a goal from Sandro Ramírez against his former club. Barcelona equalized an hour into the match with a low shot from Raphinha.
However, Las Palmas was undeterred and regained the lead in the 67th minute when Fabio Silva, on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers, broke the offside trap and scored off a pass from Gaby Muñoz.
