The Sudanese army began a military operation on Sunday to regain control of several areas and cities along the route connecting Kosti in White Nile State to Um Rawaba in North Kordofan.
Field sources told “Al-Muhaqiq” news site that the “Hunter’s Movement” advanced toward Um Rawaba after securing control over several areas.
Lt. Gen. Shams El-Din Kabbashi, a member of the Sovereignty Council and Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the army, had earlier arrived in White Nile State and received a briefing on the operation’s progress.
