On Monday, the Central Bank of Sudan issued a circular to banks authorizing the use of the national ID for the purpose of opening bank accounts.
This step is part of an effort to simplify and facilitate the process of opening bank accounts for the public. Banks are required to verify the national ID numbers provided by customers through the General Civil Registry Administration system to ensure their accuracy.
