Red Sea Governor Pledges to Overcome Challenges Facing Standards Authority

The Acting Governor of the Red Sea State, General Mustafa Mohamed Noor, pledged to overcome all the challenges facing the Standards and Metrology Authority in order to enhance national output.
He emphasized the authority’s role in monitoring goods and services to boost the national economy and protect consumers, as well as its effective role in community development as part of corporate social responsibility.
This came during his meeting on Monday at his office in Port Sudan with the General Director of the authority, Rahba Saeed Abdullah.
The meeting discussed the state’s active role in environmental health and improving health services, with the authority participating in this area through its social responsibility efforts towards the state’s community.
The governor appreciated the technical efforts of the Standards Authority in the seaports, Port Sudan International Airport, and border trade points with neighboring countries. He confirmed the state’s government’s readiness to overcome all the challenges facing the authority’s work in order to enhance national output.
Additionally, the General Director of the Sudanese Standards and Metrology Authority, Rahba Saeed Abdullah, reaffirmed the commitment to consumer protection and strengthening the national economy. She highlighted the importance of strengthening the relationship between the authority and the community of the Red Sea State by enhancing joint programs to support the efforts of the state government and called for more coordination and cooperation in applying standards and measurements.
