The Vice President of the Sovereign Council, Malik Agar, reviewed the ongoing arrangements and preparations by the Ministry of Education for the commencement of the Sudanese Certificate examinations for the delayed 2023 batch, which is scheduled to take place on the 28th of this month.
During a meeting at his office in Port Sudan on Wednesday, he instructed Dr. Ahmed Khalifa Omar, the Commissioner overseeing the Ministry of Education, to ensure the quality of performance and secure the delivery of the exams and students to examination centers both within Sudan and abroad to guarantee the exams are held as planned.
Agar praised the significant role played by Sudanese families, their determination, persistence, and commitment to continuing education amid current circumstances. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to overcoming all technical and administrative obstacles to achieve the desired goals and the success of the exam plans.
On his part, Dr. Ahmed Khalifa Omar briefed the Vice President of the Sovereign Council on the ministry’s preparations for resuming the Sudanese Certificate examinations and the efforts being made in this regard, including the number of centers within secure states and abroad, which have reached 46 centers in 15 countries.
He pointed out that the number of students sitting for the exams this year has exceeded 75.5%. He also mentioned that the Higher Examination Committee held a meeting to discuss the arrangements for the 2024 exam session, which will take place in March of 2025, as well as addressing the issue of students who were unable to sit for this year’s exams.
