Wolfsburg defeated Hoffenheim 3-0 to advance to the quarterfinals of the German Cup on Wednesday.
According to the German Press Agency, Wolfsburg scored all three of their goals in the second half, starting with a goal by Denis Zakaria in the 63rd minute.
Jonas Wind added a second goal for the hosts in the 67th minute, and Yannick Gerhardt completed the team’s trio with a goal in the 85th minute.
With this win, Wolfsburg joins four other teams that had already qualified on Tuesday, including Armenia Bielefeld, Stuttgart, Werder Bremen, and Bayer Leverkusen, the defending champions, who knocked out Bayern Munich.
