Energy Minister Pledges Urgent Measures for Al-Ubayyid Thermal Power Plant Issue

Energy and Petroleum Minister Dr. Mohyeldin Naim has promised urgent measures to address the challenges facing the Al-Ubayyid Thermal Power Plant.

During his meeting with North Kordofan Governor Abdulkhaleq Abdulatif, the minister praised the significant role played by the North Kordofan government and its coordination with the Energy and Petroleum Ministry, especially concerning the Al-Ubayyid Refinery and Thermal Power Plant.

For his part, the governor lauded the Ministry of Energy’s efforts in facilitating the flow of diesel under challenging circumstances, emphasizing the positive impact of their cooperation.

The meeting also addressed several issues affecting the state’s residents, particularly fuel supply and the role of the Al-Ubayyid Thermal Power Plant in providing services amid ongoing power outages caused by the ongoing conflict.
