Gezira State Governor Issues Instructions on Currency Exchange

The Governor of Gezira State, along with members of the Security Committee, the Popular Resistance Committee, the Support Committee, the Minister of Finance, the Auditor General, and representatives of the Tax Bureau and banks, attended a meeting on currency replacement and account opening at the Managil locality hall.
Governor Al-Taher Al-Khair emphasized their goal of ensuring the process proceeds smoothly without procedural delays. He directed bank administrations to facilitate account opening for citizens in the state and streamline the issuance of identification documents through the Civil Registry.
State Police Director, Major General Abdul-Ilah Ali, affirmed the readiness of the police to complete identification procedures in collaboration with banks, ensuring a unified effort to secure the currency exchange process.
Representative of the banks, Salah Ibrahim, Director of the Savings Bank, described the meeting as fruitful. He highlighted efforts to simplify procedures in Managil and Al-Qurashi localities and assured extended working hours to meet the needs of all bank service seekers.
