La Liga: Barcelona Drops Points Again with a Draw Against Betis

Substitute Assane Diao scored in injury time to help Real Betis draw 2-2 with Barcelona on Saturday at the Benito Villamarín Stadium, allowing coach Manuel Pellegrini to celebrate his 500th match as a manager in La Liga.
Barcelona opened the scoring in the 39th minute with a team effort led by Lamine Yamal. Robert Lewandowski received a cross and directed the ball into the net, scoring his 16th goal of the season.
Betis showed more determination after the break, with Giovani Lo Celso equalizing from a penalty. However, the young Yamal once again delivered an excellent assist to substitute Ferran Torres, who scored in the 82nd minute to give Barcelona the lead.
Barcelona seemed to be heading towards a victory, but Diao stole an equalizer for Betis in the fourth minute of stoppage time with a brilliant backheel touch, saving Betis from a third consecutive league defeat.
Barcelona now leads the table with 38 points, five ahead of second-placed Real Madrid, who have two games in hand.
