Police: “Collaborators” More Dangerous Than Militias

Sudan Events – Follow-up
The Director of Police in Singa, Major Police Officer Ezzeldin Bashir (Bika), revealed the formation of two committees from the security, intelligence, and judicial bodies. These committees are responsible for compiling and gathering vehicles in one place and for returning looted items to their rightful owners.
According to the Sudan News Agency (SUNA), he explained that the procedures go through the traffic police to match the vehicle’s chassis and verify its ownership before returning it to the rightful owner or their authorized representative. He added that collaborators are more dangerous than militias themselves.
The police chief emphasized that the police would not rest until all those who have committed crimes against the country and its citizens are brought to justice. He clarified that the first committee had collected and cataloged a significant number of vehicles and handed them over to their owners with proof of ownership. The second committee is responsible for looted items such as electrical appliances, household goods, and furniture, which have been stored in two large warehouses. Any family that proves ownership receives their items back.
