Fasher and Karrari Bombarded… Militias Continue Killing and Terrorizing Civilians
Sudan Events – Agencies
In a new violation of humanitarian law, the terrorist militia committed the largest human massacre on Tuesday through artillery shelling in the middle of civilians in Karrari locality in Khartoum State. More than 65 people were martyred, and hundreds were injured, crowding the hospitals.
The Governor Inspects:
The Governor of Khartoum, Ahmed Osman Hamza, along with the full members of the Khartoum State Security Committee, conducted an on-site inspection of the areas that were shelled, starting from the 17th Street bus station, where the shell hit a passenger bus, killing all 22 people inside, who were torn to pieces. The governor also visited other local markets and the injured at Al-No hospital. The Governor condemned the killing of unarmed civilians, pointing out that the militias aim to terrorize and scare citizens into leaving safe areas, continuing their approach of killing, raping, and looting. The Governor called on the international community and organizations to fulfill their role in protecting civilians, who are directly targeted by the militias in their homes, markets, and healthcare institutions, referring to the shelling of transportation stations, markets, and health centers, which are crowded places, especially during peak hours, chosen by the militias for maximum casualties.
Hospitals Receiving the Injured:
For his part, Dr. Fath al-Rahman Mohammed Al-Amin, Director General of the Ministry of Health, stated that hospitals are still receiving casualties and injuries. Health sector workers are making strenuous efforts to save the lives of the wounded and provide medical care.
Fasher Continues to Endure:
Meanwhile, the militia continued targeting civilians in the city of Fasher, as the Sudanese Armed Forces, joint forces, popular resistance, and volunteers dealt a severe blow to the Al-Daqlo terrorist militia in Fasher, causing the latter hundreds of casualties. After the militia’s attack on Monday, which continued until Tuesday morning, the heroic army, joint forces, and supporting troops fought a great battle, teaching the Janjaweed a lesson in military tactics, inflicting heavy losses in lives and military equipment.
According to a source from Fasher, the army and joint forces advanced toward the militia’s hideouts southeast of the city. The source told Asda’a Sudanese: “The militia lost several field leaders in Tuesday’s morning battle, including: Wad Bremat Al-Jinidi, Hamid Akhirish, brothers Ibrahim and Farah Al-Badri, Abdel Rahim Al-Abali, Issa Qarnin, and Said Ibrahim, known as (Genabo Said), and Abdel Rahman Hassan, nicknamed (Sultan).”
Deliberate Destruction of Facilities:
In this context, the Fasher Resistance Committees Coordination stated that fierce military clashes took place in the southeastern axis of the city, noting that the militia continues to target civilians with rocket launchers. It added: “The Janjaweed militia has been deliberately destroying vital facilities and residential buildings for two and a half months, condemning the international silence, which it described as ‘suspicious’, towards the war crimes and crimes against humanity being committed against the citizens of Fasher.”
Victory Number 156:
Meanwhile, the 6th Division congratulated the 156th victory over the militia in Fasher, stating: “The Armed Forces, joint forces, popular resistance, and volunteers, working together as one military unit, repelled a major attack by the militia.” The division added in a statement: “The rebellion was defeated with steadfastness, inflicting heavy losses in equipment and lives, and causing large numbers of the militia’s forces to flee.”
