Directives from the Central Bank Governor Regarding Currency Forgery and Counterfeiting

The Governor of the Central Bank of Sudan, Burai Sadiq Ali, emphasized the need for commercial banks to thoroughly inspect banknotes before depositing them into the Central Bank.
During his inspection tour on Saturday, accompanied by Deputy Governor Mohamed Othman Ahmed and members of the Operations and Monitoring Committee for Currency Exchange at the Central Bank, he assessed the currency exchange process on the ground in several banks operating in the Red Sea State.
The governor stressed the importance of providing banks with counterfeit currency detection devices and highlighted the necessity for senior bank officials to be present at their respective institutions.
He directed the general managers of banks to mobilize all available staff to support the currency exchange process, monitor its progress, and address any challenges faced by citizens.
