Sudan Events – Rehab Abdullah
The former treasurer of the National Importers Chamber at the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Hashim Al-Fadl, revealed that a new increase in the customs dollar price has been applied at border crossings and airports.
This marks the third consecutive increase in the customs dollar price during October, November, and December, rising to approximately 1700 pounds compared to 1600 pounds and 1350 pounds before October.
Al-Fadl warned of the consequences and impact of these successive increases on commodity prices, which he considered an additional burden on the Sudanese citizen. He confirmed that the continuous rise in the customs dollar creates confusion in the calculations of businessmen, importers, and traders. He called on the state to ensure stable financial policies.
