Supply Control Police in River Nile Seize Spoiled Chicken

The Trade and Consumer Protection Police in River Nile State intercepted a vehicle carrying spoiled chicken unfit for human consumption near Atbara Bridge. Two suspects were apprehended, and legal action was taken against them.
According to police press office reports, field teams under police supervision received information about suspicious activity involving the marketing of spoiled chicken. Utilizing research and field investigation, the suspects were precisely identified along with the locations of their illegal operations. Consequently, a carefully planned ambush led to the arrest of two suspects and the seizure of a Corolla vehicle near Atbara Bridge, loaded with broiler chicken in decomposed condition. The spoiled chicken, processed with preservatives to mask decay, was en route to Atbara Market.
Samples were tested by the Veterinary Administration under the Ministry of Animal Resources, which confirmed the chicken’s unfitness for human consumption and recommended immediate disposal. Legal action was subsequently taken at Atbara Central Police Station under case number (2327), citing violations under articles (8) Health and (8) Consumer Protection. The suspects are being prepared for prosecution.
