The Sudanese Mineral Resources Company’s office in the Red Sea State, led by Director Mohamed Ahmed Mohamed Osman (Teita), conducted a field visit to the Nurai Mining Market alongside sector supervisors and representatives from local law enforcement and security agencies.

The delegation reviewed market operations as part of oversight efforts to boost production and tighten control over extracted gold.

A joint meeting with local community representatives and the Nafeaab Committee addressed key issues affecting mining activities in the market and explored solutions for stability and increased output.

Teita emphasized the company’s commitment to ensuring stable operations, enhancing revenues, and benefiting the national economy and host communities. He stressed the importance of regulating the movement of mining waste (“karta”) and announced coordinated efforts with local stakeholders to overcome operational challenges and enhance productivity at Nurai Mining Market.
