Strict Decision from the Standards Authority for Importers

The Sudanese Standards and Metrology Authority has called on all stakeholders to comply with Decision No. (90) of 2022, which mandates pre-shipment inspection and testing by internationally accredited inspection companies.

Director-General Rahaba Saeed Abdullah stressed that the appointment of local international inspectors to meet the requirements of Decision No. (90), issued on September 4, 2022, will not be allowed starting February 1, 2025.

Rahaba urged importers to acquire approved standard specifications before initiating purchase and importation processes. She emphasized the importance of ensuring compliance and inspection before shipments arrive at ports.
