Confederations Cup: Real Madrid Dominates Pachuca 3-0 to Win the Title
Real Madrid won the “FIFA Club World Cup” by defeating Pachuca 3-0 at Lusail Stadium in Qatar on Wednesday, coinciding with the country’s National Day.
According to Reuters, Kylian Mbappé put Real Madrid ahead after a pass from Vinícius Júnior in the 37th minute. Rodrigo added the second goal eight minutes into the second half.
Vinícius completed his team’s scoring with a penalty in the 84th minute.
Coach Carlo Ancelotti’s team won the first title of the new competition introduced by FIFA, replacing the “FIFA Club World Cup,” which has been restructured to be held every four years with 32 teams. The United States will host the first edition of this new format next summer.
