The committee of the operations and monitoring room for currency exchange at the Central Bank of Sudan announced that it is continuing its visits to banks to monitor the process of currency replacement. They revealed a significant increase in the deposits of 1000 and 500 Sudanese pound notes in all banks as the deadline for currency replacement approaches.

During their visit on Wednesday, the committee checked the availability of counterfeit detection machines and ensured that banks had alternative energy sources in case of emergencies. The head of the operations and monitoring committee urged bank managers to allow online account opening and to encourage electronic payment methods and the activation of banking applications.
