The Stolen Revolution

Rashed Abdul Rahim
Today marks the anniversary of the change that began on December 19, 2018, which led to the fall of the National Salvation regime and the rise of the centralization of the Forces of Freedom and Change. During this period of governance, Sudan witnessed the largest operations of deception, lies, and the selling of the nation.
The Forces of Freedom and Change raised the slogan “Freedom, Peace, and Justice,” but the result was the loss of freedom, peace, and justice.
The manipulation began with the lie that the leaders of the revolution would not take official positions. However, they quickly distributed the positions among themselves and appointed weak, unknown figures who destroyed the state. They carried out the largest monopolization of power, even claiming that the protests were the property of the government’s supporters, although they were protesting against it.
They ruined the roads during the “Tires Revolution,” closing markets and paralyzing the work of the state. Prices soared, goods became scarce, and long-running criminal gangs looted streets, houses, and markets. They also spread the empowerment gangs, who looted properties, homes, money, gold, screens, and imprisoned their owners, all without judicial rulings.
They corrupted society by allowing alcohol, prostitution, and idol worship under the pretext of personal freedom. They sold the country to foreign powers, and the Prime Minister became a mercenary, receiving his salary and office allocations from abroad.
They destroyed the institutions that protect the country by handing over the Operations Authority to the Rapid Support Forces, disabling the security and intelligence agencies, allowing the rebellion to thrive. The rebels benefited from state funds, received gold in bribes, and we heard from some of them praising Hemeti, saying his “camel was big.”
They then handed him the country’s economy and the second-highest position in the state, creating a framework agreement that allowed him to take control of the country. They decorated the path for him to dominate the nation and encouraged him to stage a coup by force. They were behind the Rapid Support Forces in every expansionist step they took.
Their plans failed, so they continued to conspire against the country, selling it to foreign nations and organizations. They are still trying to rule through the rebellion’s gun by forming an exile government in the areas under rebel control.
They still claim that “the revolution continues,” and that the people are their allies, even though they were the ones who said, “Elections will not bring us to power.”
Is there any remaining betrayal, cowardice, or humiliation left for them to commit?
