Vinícius Júnior Named Best Player in the Confederations Cup
Brazilian star Vinícius Júnior, winger for Real Madrid, won two awards after his team won the FIFA Intercontinental Club World Cup, defeating Pachuca 3-0 in the final on Wednesday.
According to German Press Agency, Vinícius received the Golden Ball as the best player in the final match, while his Uruguayan teammate Federico Valverde received the Silver Ball as the second-best player. The Bronze Ball went to Elias Montiel, the midfielder for Pachuca, as the third-best player.
Vinícius Júnior also won the Best Player award for the first edition of the FIFA Club World Cup, which concluded at the Lusail Stadium in Doha, Qatar.
The Brazilian star also won the FIFA Best Player Award for the year 2024 during the FIFA gala on Tuesday.
Vinícius contributed to the win over Pachuca by assisting his teammate Kylian Mbappé for the first goal and scoring the third goal from a penalty.
