Banking Union: Daily Increase in Citizens Opening Accounts

The Sudanese Banking Union has confirmed that the currency replacement process is proceeding smoothly and systematically across all replacement states, with a daily increase in citizens opening bank accounts.

In a press statement on Thursday, the Banking Union said that this indicates the currency replacement process is achieving its goals and proceeding as planned. The Union attributed the success to the efforts made by the banks to ease the account opening and deposit processes for currency replacement, as well as the security efforts to maintain order.

The Union stressed that the currency replacement initiative reflects the public’s awareness and their commitment to fulfilling their responsibilities within the set timeframe.

The Banking Union called on citizens who have not yet visited the banks to hurry in these final days of the replacement process and visit the branches to open accounts, make deposits, and utilize applications that will help them enter a new phase in their financial lives, offering numerous benefits in terms of time, effort, and security.
