Bank Transfers Control Crop Prices in Al-Nuhud

The Director of the Auction at the Al-Nuhud Crops Market, Al-Radi Ali Baraka, revealed price fluctuations for crops during Saturday’s trading at the Al-Nuhud Market due to a shortage of liquidity. Baraka noted that peanuts topped the list of crops, with cash prices ranging between 26,000 and 28,000 Sudanese pounds per quintal, while prices via bank transfers reached 29,000 pounds per quintal.
He added that peeled peanuts saw a significant price increase, with cash prices between 820,000 and 830,000 pounds per ton, while bank transfer prices ranged from 920,000 to 930,000 pounds per ton.
Regarding gum arabic, Baraka mentioned that prices had remained stable, with cash prices ranging from 180,000 to 190,000 pounds per quintal, while bank transfer prices were 200,000 pounds per quintal. He also noted the stability of sesame and hibiscus prices, with sesame prices in cash ranging from 65,000 to 70,000 pounds per quintal, while hibiscus prices ranged from 40,000 to 43,000 pounds per quintal.
