Brazilian Oscar Returns to São Paulo

Brazilian international midfielder Oscar, a former Chelsea player, has returned to São Paulo, where his career began, according to an announcement by the club on Tuesday.
According to Agence France-Presse, São Paulo FC posted on their social media accounts: “Welcome, Oscar, what a great addition!” Oscar, whose full name is Oscar dos Santos Emboaba Júnior (33 years old), became a free agent after playing eight seasons in China with Shanghai Port, having joined them from Chelsea in 2017.
Oscar made his first professional appearance in 2008 with São Paulo, before transferring to Internacional in Porto Alegre two years later, in a controversial move that sparked a long legal dispute. He won the Olympic bronze medal with Brazil’s under-23 team at the 2012 London Olympics before moving to England to play for Chelsea, where he scored 38 goals in 203 matches.
During his four and a half years with the Blues, Oscar won four major trophies, including the English Premier League (2014-2015 and 2016-2017), the UEFA Europa League (2012-2013), and the League Cup (2014-2015).
Oscar earned 48 international caps, scoring 12 goals. One of his most famous international goals was the only goal scored by Brazil in their 1-7 defeat to Germany in the 2014 World Cup semifinals on home soil.
