Sudan Reaffirms Its Dominance Over Ethiopia in CHAN Qualifiers
Our national team for local players reaffirmed its superiority over Ethiopia, winning 2-1 in the return leg of the penultimate stage of the qualifiers for the 2025 African Nations Championship, which will be held in Uganda, Tanzania, and Kenya. The match was held at the Martyrs of Benina Stadium in Benghazi, Libya. The Sudanese Falcons raised their tally to 6 points, while Ethiopia remains scoreless, suffering their second defeat after losing 2-0 in the first leg.
Despite this, Sudan will await the results of matches involving their competitors, South Sudan, who will visit Rwanda, having previously defeated them 2-3 in the first leg. Uganda and Burundi will meet in Kampala for the first leg today, with the return leg on December 29. The team with the highest points will qualify for the finals, and in case of a tie between teams, goal difference and yellow/red cards will be used to determine the winner.
