The Central Bank Increases Liquidity for the Savings Bank in Kosti

Sudan Events – Rehab Abdullah
The Director of the Central Bank of Sudan in White Nile State, Abdulmonem Abdulazim, praised the performance of the Savings Bank’s Kosti branch in the currency exchange process and its comprehensive banking services to customers.
A delegation from the Central Bank and the Currency Exchange Security Committee visited the Savings Bank branch on Wednesday to evaluate its performance in the currency exchange operation.
The Director of the Savings and Social Development Bank in Kosti, Kabashi Bashir Masri, stated that the bank deployed teams to open accounts in the Al-Duwaym locality, as the area lacks any banking branches. He added, “We decided to go to Al-Duwaym locality, despite it being a conflict zone, as the rebellious Rapid Support Forces occasionally approach the outskirts of the area.” He emphasized that their motivation was to provide banking services to the local citizens.
Kabashi confirmed that the branch has taken multiple measures to facilitate the currency exchange process, including increasing the number of counters for receiving and disbursing cash.
He added that the branch’s excellent execution of the currency exchange prompted the Central Bank in the state to increase the liquidity allocated to the Kosti Savings Bank branch, given the demand for disbursing government employees’ salaries and managing four types of pensions: military, police, civilian, and social insurance pensions.
