Minister of Finance Highlights the Importance of Digital Transformation to Strengthen Oversight of Public Funds

The Ministry of Finance discussed its 2025 plan to align operations with the budget goals, focusing on mobilizing internal resources and increasing revenues to prioritize war efforts, security requirements, and maintaining state sovereignty. The plan also aims to address the economic crisis, prevent further deterioration, improve revenue collection from genuine sources, and enhance transparency and fairness while meeting citizens’ essential needs.

During a meeting chaired by Minister of Finance Dr. Jibril Ibrahim, with the participation of Dr. Mohamed Bashar, Undersecretary for Planning, the importance of digital transformation was emphasized to achieve the ministry’s goals, ensure control over public funds, and accelerate procedures.

Dr. Ibrahim reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to fulfilling all government obligations through bank transfers, as per Cabinet Resolution No. 150. He also stressed the importance of defining performance measurement standards, adhering to scheduled reports, and promptly addressing any deviations.
