Seizure of Thousands of Bags of Spoiled Flour and Sugar in Gedaref

A team from the Standards and Metrology Authority in Gedaref, along with other relevant authorities, seized 3,000 bags of flour and a quantity of sugar bags, oil cans, lentils, and rice that were unfit for consumption. The total amount of seized spoiled goods reached 5,000 bags.
The acting director of the Standards Sector in Gedaref, Abdelhai Ahmed, confirmed that the standards authority will continue to ensure public health and food safety. He praised the roles played by the Supply Investigations Unit, the Consumer Protection Police, the Consumer Protection Prosecution, the Economic Security Police, and the Military Intelligence Agency. He urged consumers to report any market violations immediately by calling 5960.
