Burhan Attends “Mineral Resources” Independence Celebration at Evacuation Centers

The Chairman of the Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, surprised everyone by attending an initiative organized by the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company on Wednesday to celebrate Independence Day with the displaced people in the evacuation centers of Port Sudan.

Al-Burhan visited the South Korea School, where he checked on the condition of the displaced people there and attended the program organized by the company under the slogan “One Nation, One People, One Army,” sponsored by the Director-General Mohamed Taher Omar. The program targeted 600 families in the evacuation centers, including the South Korea School Complex, the special cases center at the Shore neighborhood School, and the Air Defense School in Selaab.

The Director-General of the Mineral Resources Company, during his speech at the event, expressed the company’s commitment to supporting the displaced, indicating that the initiative was designed to reflect national solidarity during Independence Day and affirm the stand with those affected by the conflict.

He added that the food and clothing convoys distributed during the program were sourced from the salaries and allowances of the company’s employees, demonstrating the humanitarian and national values upheld by the company’s workers.
