Government: Committed to Overcoming Obstacles to Deliver Humanitarian Aid

Lieutenant General Engineer Ibrahim Jaber Ibrahim, Member of the Sovereign Council and Assistant to the Commander-in-Chief, affirmed the government’s commitment to overcoming all obstacles and challenges hindering the delivery of humanitarian aid and essential supplies, particularly to displaced and refugee areas in the states.
During his meeting on Thursday in Port Sudan with a delegation from the Al-Batahin tribe, led by tribal chief Montasir Khalid Talah, Jaber emphasized the importance of combined governmental and popular efforts to deliver humanitarian assistance. He pledged support for displaced individuals and voluntary returnees by providing essential services.
For his part, the chief of the Al-Batahin tribe stated in a press briefing that the delegation had informed the Sovereign Council member of the humanitarian and service needs of displacement camps, including food, shelter, and medicine, as well as requirements to face the winter season.
The delegation also congratulated the Sovereign Council member on victories achieved across all fronts, reaffirming their support for the armed forces in their battle against rebellion and pledging the tribe’s sons to defend the homeland, raise its stature, and protect its lands.
