Jaber Reviews Preparations for the Investment Forum in River Nile State

Lieutenant General Ibrahim Jaber Ibrahim, Member of the Sovereign Council and Assistant to the Commander-in-Chief, reviewed the overall situation in River Nile State, focusing on the currency exchange process and preparations for the upcoming Investment Conference scheduled for late January.
During a meeting in his Port Sudan office on Thursday with River Nile Governor Mohamed Al-Badawi Abdel-Majid, Jaber received a detailed report on the progress of the currency exchange process in recent months.
The meeting addressed various issues related to state operations and the provision of humanitarian and public services. Preparations for the investment forum in River Nile State, set to take place from January 28 to 29, were also discussed.
In a press statement, the governor highlighted that the meeting tackled key topics, including the state’s report on the currency exchange process and the smooth progress of Sudanese certificate exams. He noted that the total number of students taking the exams in the state reached approximately 18,000, with an additional 21,000 students arriving from other states. He confirmed that all measures, especially regarding accommodations and provisions, were proceeding as planned.
The governor further informed Jaber about ongoing preparations for the investment forum and its anticipated impact on the state’s economy. Regarding the transportation sector, he emphasized the importance of reviving the railway system, stabilizing the Atbara-Port Sudan train services, and reviewing other railway lines.
